The Art of Borealis-Character redesigns

Borealis has been a personal project of mine for a long time, and after some deliberation, I've decided to change the story and the characters up...well, actually, quite a lot.
Story:
Aurora, a highly skilled mage, is going about her business as usual when she senses that the space-time continuum is being disrupted. She traces the source of all the disruptions back to the Ember, the local inventor, and blacksmith. She decides to go over to Ember's lab to investigate, coming across a cat named Kona on the way.
When she arrived at Ember's lab, she finds out that Ember had invented a time machine and was in the process of testing it with two live subjects: Francine (Lil' F), and Catherine. (Eva)
Aurora orders that the tests be stopped in order to not disrupt the space-time continuum further and Ember reluctantly obliges. In the midst of all the commotion, however, Kona destroys the machine, causing a giant hole to rip in time and space, and mutant crustaceans from the year 4269 invade.
